Job summary

Optum is seeking a Collections specialist to support healthcare unpaid claims. Based in the Philippines, you will interact with providers and payers to verify claim status and collect unpaid balances, ensuring invoices are accurate and reconciled with accounts receivable.

You will read contracts for payment disputes, work on provider-side processes, and process claims payments. A background in medical billing and UB claims knowledge is preferred; strong multi-tasking and Windows skills are

Qualifications

• At least 12 months experience in medical billing/ AR collections.
• Familiarity with UB Claims and UB04 forms.
• Experience working on the Provider (hospital) side.
• Background in calling insurance (Payer) to verify claim status and payment disputes.
• Senior High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Windows PC applications and ability to learn multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Contract reading of payment disputes.
• Working on the Provider side processes.
• Check with the insurance to verify claim status and collect unpaid claims.
• Process claims payments.
• Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure payments are received.
