Job summary

Geospectrum Marketing Services seeks an experienced leader to oversee GIS-based web applications, dashboards, and analytics platforms. You will guide planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of geospatial software across backend systems and APIs.

You will review architectures, mentor developers, and ensure data integrity, security, and scalable solutions while coordinating with PMs and technical teams to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Geomatics or related field.
• 5+ years in software development or geospatial app development.
• 2+ years in technical leadership or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GIS-based web applications, dashboards, spatial databases, analytics platforms, APIs, web services, and backend systems.
• Lead planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of geospatial software applications.
• Review software architecture, source code, and technical documentation.
• Manage and optimize geospatial databases ensuring data integrity, security, backup, and recovery.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Business Development, and technical teams for project requirements and implementation.
• Monitor development schedules, deliverables, and project completion.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Geospatial IT Specialists and Software Developers.
• Conduct technical coaching, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Evaluate emerging GIS, cloud, AI, and web technologies and recommend solutions that support innovation and business requirements.
