Responsibilities

• Ability to identify a good, stylish fit to meet the customer’s hair styling and coloring needs.
• Ability to analyze hair and scalp condition and provide consultation on products/hair services.
• Ability to wash, cut, color, and style hair of various types and textures.
• Actively promote and sell HHS services, products, and membership cards, meeting minimum monthly sales quota.
• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• Provide consistent professional hair treatments in accordance with salon protocols and salon best practices.
• Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the salon.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training the Junior Stylists in these areas.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by the company’s policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or salon customers that require attention.
• Actively promote the salon, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
• Handle customer’s questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by customers ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
• Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
• Regularly attend formal in-house training and staff meetings for the salon.
• Assist in all areas of salon operation as requested by management.
• Ensure all clients are attended to while always upholding the Happy Heart Salon brand and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience as a Senior Hair Stylist
• Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service and sales skills
• Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly, outgoing personality
• Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge
• Profound knowledge of the color wheel and cutting techniques, including men's and women's cuts for all hair lengths
• Ability to promote and sell HHS services, products, and membership cards, meeting minimum monthly sales quota
• Ability to understand and advise clients on best-suited haircut lengths and styles
• Ability to grow and maintain relationships with clients
• Ability to apply hair color using various techniques
