Qualifications

• Valid heavy equipment operator's licence or grader certification.
• 3–5 years of professional experience operating graders on construction sites.
• Knowledge of grading techniques, equipment maintenance, and site safety.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs accurately.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for precise operation.
• Physical fitness to operate machinery in varying weather.
• Strong communication and teamwork with supervisors.
• Attention to detail to meet quality and safety standards.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professional attitude.
• Experience with GPS-guided grading systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate graders and related heavy machinery to prepare, grade, and level surfaces on site and road projects.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand requirements.
• Inspect and maintain grading equipment regularly and report issues.
• Perform pre-operation checks to ensure safe operation.
• Adjust grader blades, tires, and components to meet specs.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and surveyors to meet timelines and quality.
• Follow health and safety regulations and site protocols.
• Monitor ground conditions and adjust operation accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of work hours and issues encountered.
