Job summary

Quest Global in the Philippines seeks a backend developer skilled in Go to design and build robust services. You will own the complete lifecycle of backend features, from design to delivery and maintenance, collaborating with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams.

You should have strong knowledge of HTTP, gRPC, and distributed storage systems (MongoDB, Redis, MySQL), along with monitoring tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in developing backend servers and building RESTful APIs with Go (Golang).
• Solid understanding of application-layer protocols such as HTTP and gRPC.
• Experience working with distributed storage and database systems, including MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL.
• Knowledge of analytics and monitoring tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Engage actively in the complete application lifecycle, with a strong focus on solution design and development.
• Take ownership of agile stories, overseeing each phase from design through delivery and ongoing maintenance.
• Work closely with project stakeholders, including frontend, DevOps, and QA teams, to ensure seamless testing and debugging.
• Conduct peer code reviews and offer technical mentorship to junior developers, supporting their growth and adherence to coding best practices.
