Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Global Software Asset Manager in the Philippines to lead enterprise SAM strategy, governance, and licensing alignment with IT transformation. You will drive SAM maturity, manage audits, and optimize software spend across on-prem and cloud.

Reporting to Procurement and IT, you will oversee asset lifecycle, vendor relationships, and SAM tool deployments (ServiceNow SAM, Flexera). Strong financial acumen and licensing knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Finance, or related field. Relevant certifications preferred (CSAM, ITIL, FinOps).
• 7+ years in Software Asset Management or related discipline. Experience in global, hybrid IT environments and vendor audits.
• Advanced knowledge in software licensing models.
• Experience with SAM tools and platforms.
• Understanding of enterprise vendor licensing frameworks.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the global Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy and governance.
• Oversee lifecycle of software assets including procurement, deployment, utilization, and retirement.
• Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements and manage audit risk.
• Lead software license audits and vendor true-ups.
• Drive cost optimization and eliminate unused licenses.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, and IT on licensing strategies.
• Manage vendor relationships for major software providers.
• Implement and enhance SAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM, Flexera).
• Provide executive reporting on compliance and cost optimization.
• Align licensing strategy with cloud and SaaS environments.
