Job summary

Manulife Financial Corporation seeks an experienced Transformation lead to drive Revenue & Billing initiatives across Asia and North America using ERM. You will lead transformation delivery, build a global COE, standardize processes and serve as a global SME for revenue and billing operations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting and Reporting in Manila, you will collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Technology and Operations to ensure governance, data modeling and scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on knowledge of Envestnet ERM or an equivalent revenue and billing platform.
• Strong command of complex fee schedules, MFN and non-standard fee arrangements, revenue accrual methodologies and invoice production controls.
• Transformation delivery experience including multi-region migrations, automation programs and cross-functional integration.
• COE design/build experience including resource planning and process standardization.
• Ability to define governance standards, data models and billing architecture; supports audit, documentation and remediation.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management across Asia and North America; leadership in global programs.
• Credible global SME with capability to train and uplift regional teams.

Job description

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting and Reporting in Manila, this role supports the global transformation and operational advancement of the Revenue & Billing function across Asia and North America. It plays a key role in advancing the Envestnet Revenue Manager (ERM) platform strategy, developing a global Centre of Excellence (COE), standardizing processes, and serving as a global subject matter expert for revenue and billing operations. The role works closely with the Head of Global Revenue & Billing to drive consistent delivery, adoption, and operational readiness across Asia and North America Revenue Transformation initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

1. TRANSFORMATION SUPPORT

Lead and support the delivery of strategic Revenue & Billing transformation initiatives, converting business strategy into scalable operating capabilities across regions.

Regional migration

• Lead the Asia ERM migration strategy and implementation roadmap, including planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, testing oversight and execution.
• Support the end-to-end migration strategy for North America revenue and billing activities into ERM.
• Monitor execution progress, manage dependencies, and elevate issues and risk as required.

Automation agenda

• Support automation initiatives across the revenue and billing lifecycle as per Head of Global Revenue & Billing including revenue processing, billing, general ledger integration, cash clearing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual activities, improve operational efficiency and strengthen controls.

System integration

• Support cross-functional integration initiatives bringing together Finance, Treasury, Technology and Operations.
• Ensure alignment between business requirements, system design and operational processes.

Strategic change

• Drive global transformation and scalability initiatives that extend the platform beyond current-state capacity.

2. DEVELOP GLOBAL COE MODEL

Support in building the permanent operating structure — people, standards and reporting — that sustains Revenue & Billing globally once change is delivered.

COE build-out and resourcing

• Support the build-out and day-to-day operation of the centralized ERM Centre of Excellence.
• Assist in documenting global operating models, workflows, service standards and support structures.
• Provide input into resource planning and capacity requirements for review and approval by the Head of Global Revenue & Billing.

Governance architecture

• Assist in developing and maintaining ERM governance standards, platform controls, roadmap documentation, data models and billing architecture.
• Maintain version-controlled documentation and support governance reviews and change management activities.
• Ensure documentation remains aligned with evolving business requirements and platform capabilities.

Billing lifecycle standards

• Support the development and maintenance of global billing procedures, revenue accrual methodologies and invoice production standards.
• Maintain procedure manuals and control evidence to support operational and audit requirements.
• Contribute to billing automation and process improvement initiatives.

Onboarding governance

• Govern client onboarding into ERM and own complex approvals routed through the COE
• Monitor compliance with global setup standards and implementation procedures.

Reporting and metrics

• Develop and maintain global KPIs, governance reporting, operational dashboards and management metrics.
• Provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making and process optimization.

3. GLOBAL SME FOR ERM

Serve as a global subject matter expert and technical authority for ERM, supporting platform governance, complex revenue arrangements and operational excellence.

Platform ownership

• Act as Technical SME for ERM.
• Support prioritization, business requirements, testing oversight, platform administration and user access governance.
• Serve as a liaison with Envestnet, Technology teams and business stakeholders regarding platform enhancements and issue resolution.

Complex fee authority

• Review and approve complex fee arrangements, MFN and non-standard fee requests for Asia Nations
• Participate in governance forums and committees responsible for fee governance and policy adherence.
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition, billing methodologies and fee structure interpretation.

Set-up and production oversight

• Review and approve complex client configurations and setup requests submitted through the COE.
• Provide oversight of production billing activities through exception management and governance reviews.
• Support resolution of escalated operational and system issues.

Audit ownership

• Lead the annual ERM system audit, including controls testing, documentation maintenance, evidence collection, remediation activities and governance reviews.
• Coordinate audit-related activities with Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk, Compliance and Technology stakeholders.

Process standardization

• Own and support global process design and standardization of the Revenue & Billing operating model.
• Promote operational consistency across regions and functions.

Knowledge and escalation

• Develop and deliver ERM training programs, knowledge management materials and user support resources.
• Act as a first-level escalation point for complex system, billing and process issues.
• Promote continuous learning and capability development across global Revenue & Billing teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Platform expertise — Deep hands-on knowledge of Envestnet ERM or an equivalent revenue and billing platform, covering configuration, fee setup, GL mapping, testing and migration.
• Revenue and billing domain — Strong command of complex fee schedules, MFN and non-standard fee arrangements, revenue accrual methodology and invoice production controls.
• Transformation delivery — Proven record leading multi-region system migrations, automation programs and cross-functional integration across Finance, Treasury, Technology and Operations.
• COE build-out — Experience designing and running a centralized operating model or Centre of Excellence, including resource planning and process standardization.
• Governance and controls — Ability to define standards, data models and billing architecture, and to own audit, documentation and remediation cycles.
• Stakeholder and vendor management — Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, vendors and governance committees across Asia and North America.
• Leadership — Credible as global SME and first-level escalation point, with the ability to train and uplift capability across regional teams.
