Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is recruiting for an Engineer - Mechanical Package to join our Manila engineering team. The role covers scheduling, cost reporting, post-award change management, risk and technical compliance in line with company procedures.

The successful candidate will manage package activities, monitor milestones, coordinate reviews, and oversee vendor performance from award through delivery and close-out, ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
• 3+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
• Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure package activities comply with project, client, statutory, and quality requirements.
• Manage assigned package(s) in accordance with approved cost and schedule targets.
• Monitor progress against key milestones and proactively address deviations.
• Support forecasting of package costs, commitments, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate technical reviews, vendor documentation, and design interfaces.
• Facilitate timely resolution of technical queries and design issues.
• Manage vendor performance from award through manufacture, inspection, delivery, and close-out.
• Monitor fabrication progress and expediting requirements.
• Coordinate disciplines to ensure deliverables are aligned and integrated.
• Ensure change management procedures are followed.
• Assess impacts of scope changes on cost, schedule, and risk.
• Maintain accurate package records and supporting documentation.
• Provide accurate and timely package status reporting.
• Maintain package registers, action lists, risk registers, and procurement trackers.
• Escalate emerging issues, risks, and opportunities promptly.
