Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an Accountant I to join the General Ledger Accounting team in Manila. You will handle journal entries, month-end close, and bank reconciliations while supporting accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with at least two years of general accounting or financial reporting experience. Proficiency in Oracle and MS Office is expected, with a CPA bonus and exposure to audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with at least two years of experience in general accounting, general ledger or financial reporting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and automated accounting systems such as Oracle.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
• CPA qualification is a bonus.
• Experience in external audit or working with auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements that enhance financial controls, efficiency or reporting quality.

Responsibilities

• Handle general ledger tasks, including journal entries, month-end close, and financial system support.
• Perform bank reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accuracy of reports.
• Maintain internal controls and organized records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Manage tax filings and regulatory requirements, supporting audits with documentation.
