Qualifications

• Proficient in web development languages: Javascript, Python, PHP.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL.
• Background or interest in web engineering at scale.
• Experience in agile teams, shipping features regularly.
• Some experience working in Linux and strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build lives-changing features that impact millions of users.
• Design systems and improve UX across Freelancer's sites.
• Mitigate fraud and other activity using machine learning and AI.
• Drive user growth through site SEO improvements.
• Solve web-scale distributed system problems and optimize stacks.
• Migrate legacy code to modern technologies such as Angular.
