Role description:
  • The role is responsible for supporting the Business Partners in the day-to-day financial control of assigned Tech activities, with a focus on data accuracy, timely reporting, clear variance explanation, and practical financial insight.
  • Support Business Partners with monthly financial analysis, including actuals versus forecast, key movements, risks, opportunities, recommended follow-up actions and supporting commentary.
Role accountabilities:
  • Review, challenge and interpret actuals, forecast movements, recharge positions and key variances, translating findings into clear commentary, risks, opportunities and recommended follow-up actions for the relevant Business Partner.
  • Validate outputs prepared by the Finance Specialist, ensuring reporting packs, forecast updates, recharge schedules, reconciliations and supporting analysis are complete, accurate and ready for Business Partner review.
  • Lead monthly country finance calls for assigned Tech areas to review actuals, forecast movements, recharge positions, data quality issues and open actions, with Finance Specialist support on preparation and documentation.
  • Join monthly lane calls led by the relevant Business Partner to support discussion of financial results, provide analysis and challenge, clarify recharge or allocation movements and capture follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with country finance teams, Tech stakeholders, BI&A and the Finance Specialist, escalating material variances, forecast assumptions, control issues or methodology questions to the relevant Business Partner.
  • Provide technical guidance and day-to-day workflow support to the Finance Specialist, while management accountability, priority-setting and final stakeholder messaging remain with the relevant Business Partner.
  • Lead or coordinate agreed process improvement opportunities across Tech Controlling, including reporting simplification, data quality improvements and reduction of manual effort.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data issues, unusual movements and process gaps.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to summarise financial information in a practical way.
  • Proactive, organised and able to manage deadlines across month-end, forecast cycles and ad hoc requests.
  • Collaborative mindset with interest in process improvement, automation and better use of data
