Job summary

AboitizPower Corporation is seeking a Chemist to monitor geothermal steam purity, cooling water quality, and manage water treatment operations. You will coordinate with Production teams, steam providers, and regulatory offices to safeguard assets and support power generation.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, at least 2 years in lab maintenance and analysis, and a valid chemistry license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree focused on Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of two years background in laboratory maintenance and chemical analysis.
• Valid license as a Registered Chemist or Registered Chemical Technician.
• Practical experience handling laboratory testing, data evaluation, and record management.

Responsibilities

• Steam purity monitoring across generating units.
• Cooling water quality management to prevent fouling.
• Coordinate with steam vendors on purity concerns.
• Water treatment implementation with external partners.
• Brine parameter monitoring for binary plant processes.
• Delivery & inventory checks for bulk chemical shipments.
• Laboratory safety & waste disposal compliance.
• Documentation and reports of laboratory data.
• Budgeting and monitoring chemical usage rates.
