Job summary

Powertech Asia Pacific, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a generator service technician to install, commission, test, and maintain diesel and gas generator sets, transfer switches, and related panels, ensuring safety and OEM compliance.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform load tests, keep accurate service records, and communicate repair recommendations to customers. A 2+ year background in generator servicing and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience servicing diesel/gas-powered generators or similar equipment.
Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and test generator systems and related equipment (transfer switches, fuel systems, batteries, control panels).
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on generator sets.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on generator brands.
Conduct load bank testing and battery testing.
Maintain accurate service records and parts usage.
Ensure work complies with company policies, OEM guidelines, and local codes.
Communicate repairs and preventive maintenance recommendations to customers.
Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in good condition.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
