Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Accounting team in ensuring accurate financial records and timely month-end closing. You will apply sound accounting knowledge to prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to verify transactions and resolve issues.

The role requires at least one year of accounting experience and a CPA credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Accountancy or related field.
• CPA designation is required/advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and month-end close processes.
• Prepare month-end journal entries with supporting docs.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.
• Investigate variances and resolve accounting issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to verify transactions and ensure accuracy.
