Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking an on-site Cost Accountant in Cavite City, Philippines. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and CPA license, with experience in general, cost, manufacturing, or inventory accounting.

Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is preferred. You will collect and maintain cost records, analyze manufacturing costs, conduct variance analysis, and assist in audits and tax filing.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPA license and a bachelor's degree in accountancy.
• Experience in General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Accounting, or Inventory Accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, cost variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Philippine taxation and BIR requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP or computerized accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain accurate cost and expense records
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare variance reports
• Prepare reports on raw materials, importation costs, taxes, and related expenses
• Conduct profit margin analysis and cost forecasting
• Recommend cost-saving initiatives
• Coordinate inventory counts and monitor inventory discrepancies
• Investigate and recommend inventory adjustments
• Support accounting system implementation and BIR compliance requirements
• Assist in internal, external, and BIR audits
• Prepare and file applicable tax returns
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Coordinate with different departments for accurate financial reporting
