Job summary

U-BIX Corporation is seeking a General Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, prepare accurate financial reports, and ensure compliance with standards and policies. You will handle complex tasks, support audits, and assist management in planning and analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred, and 3–6 years of accounting experience. Onsite at Makati City, Philippines, with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification (preferred).
• 3–6 years of solid accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Advanced MS Excel skills and data analysis capability.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure adherence to internal control policies and accounting procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
• Provide support in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and system efficiencies.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.
