Job summary

Citco in Metro Manila seeks a capable finance professional for real estate fund accounting. You will manage day-to-day accounting, ledgers, and financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting for private equity fund clients.

Requirements include a degree in accounting or finance, CPA progression, 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong English communication. The role offers hybrid work with three onsite days at Alabang and shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Designation as CPA or working towards CPA is preferred.
• 2+ years of real estate or private equity fund accounting experience.
• Experience reviewing ledgers and financial statements is required.
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is required.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Able to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting and analysis, including preparation and review of records.
• Maintain and control the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes and partner capital statements.
• Prepare allocations for limited and general partners.
• Prepare trial balances and work papers.

As a core member of the Real Estate team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Your Role:

• Day to day accounting & analysis, preparing and review
• Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes and partner capital statements
• Prepare limited partner and general partner allocations
• Prepare trial balances and work paper product
• Process standard and complex bookkeeping entries
• Involved within a full scope of transaction activities including full cycle accounting
• Prepare financial data analysis
• Monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables
• Interact with Management and Clients
• Review private equity fund client’s partnership agreements, PPM’s and other materials
• Participate in the implementation of fund structures onto the accounting system
• Monitor compliance of various agreements with clients, including the Service Level Agreement
• Train and support team members in their development
• Operate as a contact point for clients; able to respond to and resolve queries or elevate where necessary
• Act as a liaison with various internal /external parties – i.e. auditors, legal counsel
• Assist in client audit procedures
• Process wire transfer payments on behalf of clients
• Prepare and analyze complex Excel spreadsheets
• Liaise with property management companies

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Designated accountant or working towards CPA designation
• 2+ years of public/private real estate or private equity fund accounting work experience
• Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
• Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines
• Team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities
• Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills
• Advanced level MS Excel and proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
• Amenable to working in our Alabang Office (Filinvest 2 Bldg., Northgate Cyber Zone, Filinvest City, Alabang Muntinlupa City)
• Amenable to working under a Hybrid work arrangement (3 days' onsite)
• Amenable to working on shifting schedules (Mid-shift; 1PM onwards)
