Job summary

Zohorecruit in Tacloban, Philippines seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to design and execute software testing plans, identify defects, and report issues to the development team. The role requires strong knowledge of QA methodologies, writing clear test plans, and hands-on automated testing experience.

You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment, craft test cases, and utilize SQL and scripting to validate data and functionality before releases.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and with both white box and black box testing.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting and experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to identify software problems and their causes
• Document software issues using a bug tracking system
• Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
• Report bugs or defects to software developers for correction
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
