Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited, Philippine Branch is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design and implement scalable, high-performance applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes quality through manual and automated testing and close alignment with product stakeholders.

You will build backend services with Node.js Express, craft data models in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and contribute to a microservices architecture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years as a Full Stack Developer.
• Experience with Node.js Express for backend development.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Experience writing automated tests with Playwright and Jest.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with Waterfall software development methodology is a plus.
• Interest or experience in financial business systems is desirable.

• Preferably possesses a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Experience in Node.js Express for Back End development
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience in version control systems such as Git or similar versions
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Has experience writing automated test using Playwright and Jest
• Knowledge in microservices
• With proven experience in Waterfall Software Development methodology
• Experience/strong interest in financial business systems is highly desirable
