Job summary

Mind You is looking for a junior developer in Manila to join a collaborative team. You will work on small features, implement code with Python, JavaScript and PHP, and maintain the codebase under senior guidance.

You will participate in SCRUM practices, write tests, and continuously learn new tools and frameworks to deliver quality software.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recent graduate in CS/SE.
• Experience in Python, JavaScript, PHP and SQL.
• Familiarity with Flask/Django and modern JS frameworks.
• Proficient with Git and GitLab; Agile/Scrum experience helpful.
• Strong problem solving and quick learner.

• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and specifications of small features from the backlog.
• Assist in designing, developing, and implementing small features using technologies such as Jira, Sentry, Django, Ruby, PHP, and GitHub.
• Write clean, efficient code adhering to coding standards and best practices under senior developer guidance.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure functionality and quality.
• Participate in code reviews, incorporating feedback for improvement.
• Maintain and document the existing codebase to ensure code integrity and readability.
• Attend team meetings and scrum sessions to provide updates on feature development progress.
• Seek guidance from senior developers when facing challenges in feature implementation.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with software development languages such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.
• Familiarity with technologies like Flask, Django, VueJS, NextJS, Node, PostgreSQL, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, Docker, WordPress, or Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git and GitLab.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
