Overview

Job Summary: The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials within a warehouse or production facility. This role requires a high level of safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
  • Move materials between different areas of the warehouse or production floor.
  • Stack and store materials in designated locations.
  • Retrieve materials from storage locations as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage.
• Forklift Operation
  • Safely operate a forklift in accordance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections of the forklift.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Inventory Control
  • Assist with inventory control and tracking as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials handled.
• Safety
  • Adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear (e.g., safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other Duties
  • Assist with other warehouse or production tasks as assigned.
  • May be required to perform general warehouse duties such as cleaning and organizing.

Experience

Prior experience operating a forklift preferred.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
