• Minimum 6 years hands-on experience in network security, firewall deployment, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting and support across enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with routing & switching and network security infrastructure.
• Experience implementing and managing FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls.
• Configure firewall policies, NAT, VPN, security zones, routing, access control rules, and high-availability configurations.
• Develop automation scripts/tools to simplify firewall configuration, monitoring and reporting.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Python, Shell).

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Firewall Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in network security, firewall deployment, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise firewall and network security solutions.

Hands-on experience with Routing & Switching (R&S) and network security infrastructure.

Implement and manage FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, and Check Point Firewalls.

Configure firewall policies, NAT, VPN, security zones, routing, access control rules, and high-availability configurations.

Perform firewall migration, upgrades, policy optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Manage and troubleshoot Zscaler Proxy and other enterprise proxy/security gateway solutions.

Monitor firewall and proxy logs, investigate security events, and resolve network connectivity and security-related incidents.

Work closely with network, security, infrastructure, and application teams to implement secure connectivity solutions.

Develop and maintain automation scripts/tools to simplify firewall configuration, monitoring, reporting, and operational activities.

Utilize Python, Shell scripting, or other automation tools for network/security automation where applicable.

Provide troubleshooting and operational support in Linux/Unix environments.

Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, implementation plans, change requests, and operational procedures.

Participate in firewall migrations, technology refreshes, security enhancements, and infrastructure transformation projects.

Follow enterprise security standards, change management processes, and industry best practices.
