Job summary

RealPage, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the FinOps & ValueOps automation of cloud cost management and value-tracking across multi-cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will develop SOPs, monitor budgets, triage cost anomalies, and enable AI-driven automation while collaborating with the engineering team to implement scalable cost solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in financial operations (FinOps), cloud cost management, or IT operations support.
• Hands-on experience building automation scripts, dashboards, and monitoring tools for hybrid environments.
• Automation experience with Python and AI-assisted tooling (LLM-based agents) preferred.
• FinOps Practitioner certification or cloud cost management certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud billing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cost management is required.

Responsibilities

• Support FinOps & ValueOps automation strategies, migration plans, and technical assistance for cost projects of varying complexity.
• Test and evaluate cost automation systems and AI models to eliminate problems and improve performance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and contribute to knowledge transfer for onboarding new automation deployments.
• Execute day-to-day FinOps & ValueOps tasks, including budget guardrail monitoring, cost anomaly triage, tagging remediation, and ticket-based support.
• Implement and manage AI-driven cost automation and budget guardrail systems within multi-cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-prem environments.
• Provide engineering support for standard designs from the FinOps/ValueOps Engineering team, including configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Provide after-hours production support for cost and value reporting issues.
• Identify process improvement opportunities using AI/ML techniques and stay ahead of emerging FinOps/tools.
• Maintain knowledge of FinOps, ValueOps, AI/ML, and cloud technologies and develop new automation integrations.

Overview

FinOps &ValueOpsOperations Engineer on our team, you'll be part of a collaborative group responsible for supporting the automation of cloud and AI cost operations and value-tracking processes across RealPage's multi-cloud environment; using AI-driven tooling to streamline cost governance, budget monitoring, and reporting workflows, while maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and executing day-to-day operational tasks that keep the FinOps &ValueOpspractice running smoothly, and staying current with emerging AI and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support FinOps &ValueOpsautomation strategies, migration plans, and technicalassistancefor low to high level complexity projects.

• Works in support of implementing standard designs from the FinOps &ValueOpsEngineering team for automation projects including configuring, troubleshooting, documentation,optimizationand requirements gathering for FinOps &ValueOpsOperations
• Provides direct operational support, including after hours as needed, for production-related cost and value-reporting issues.
• Provides engineeringexpertisein identification of process improvement and automation opportunities using AI/ML techniques
• Maintain working knowledge of FinOps, Value Operations, AI/ML, and Cloud technologies and supporting solution areas anddevelopnew automation integrations and solution capabilities.
• Research, evaluate and stay ahead ofcurveon emerging AI, automation, and FinOps/ValueOpstools, techniques, and technologies.
• Demonstrate strong 'Consultative based mindset' with strong listening and collaborationskillfor uncovering unmet technology-based needs and translating the requirements into strategic solutions

Qualifications

• 2+ years of validated experience in financial operations (FinOps), cloud cost management, or IT operations support in a medium to large globally diverse environment
• hands-on experience building automation scripts, dashboards, and monitoring/analyzer tools supporting Hybrid Environments
• Automation experience with Python and/or AI-assisted tooling (e.g., LLM-based agents/assistants) strongly preferred
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FinOps Foundation) or cloud cost management certification preferred
• knowledge of cloud billing and cost management platforms, including - AWS Cost Explorer/CUR, GCP Billing Export, and Azure Cost Management - isrequired
• knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and techniques for automation, including - LLM-based agents, anomalydetectionand predictive analytics - isrequired
• knowledgeof tagging/labeling governance and cost allocation practices with Terraform is strongly preferred. Experience with cost allocation models, budget guardrails, and chargeback/showbackreporting.
• Troubleshooting skills across various cloud cost, billing, and reporting platforms
• Operational experience with budget guardrail enforcement, alerting, and dashboarding tools; ability to write andmaintainSOPs and operational runbooks.
• Ability to write andmaintaindetailed SOPs, methods of procedure, and operational documentation, including creation of Visio/Lucid Charts diagrams.
• Basic knowledge with an Agile Scrum framework with the ability to work on stories in sprints.
