Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a leading fund services firm. The role focuses on preparing draft financial statements for hedge and private equity funds and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, or FRS 102.

We value candidates with 2–3 years of experience in investment fund reporting, strong Excel skills, and clear communication. Bachelor's degree and professional qualification are essential; CPA/ACCA/CA preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
  • Experience with US GAAP, IFRS or FRS 102 a plus.
  • 2–3 years' experience preparing investment fund financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare draft financial statements for hedge and private equity funds.
  • Ensure reporting compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, or FRS 102.
  • Review and implement client and auditor feedback.
  • Resolve financial reporting queries from clients and auditors.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness of reporting outputs.
  • Support ad hoc business and reporting projects.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant
A Successful Financial Reporting Accountant Should Have
  • 2-3 years' experience preparing investment fund financial statements.
  • Experience with mutual, hedge, or private equity funds.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS and FRS 102 experience preferred.
  • Understanding of fund structures and fund administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
