Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Model Validator to assess model soundness and performance. You will collaborate with developers to identify model risks and perform hands-on validations, delivering reports for senior management and regulators.

The role requires 3+ years in model development/validation, strong Python or R skills, and familiarity with AI/ML models and SR 11-7 regulations. A fast-paced environment and solid project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Math, CS, Data Science, etc.
• At least 3 years of experience in model development or validation.
• Familiarity with models in financial markets, including AI/ML models.
• Proficiency in Python or R, data wrangling, AWS.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to articulate validation work and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with SR 11-7 and regulatory frameworks related to model risk management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong project management and delivery track record.

Responsibilities

• Implement model validation plans to review and assess the soundness and performance of various models.
• Work closely with model developers to identify risks introduced by the use of models.
• Perform independent hands-on model validations and analyses.
• Prepare model validation reports detailing findings, recommendations, and conclusions for senior management, regulatory bodies, and auditors.
• Assist with regular model risk tracking and reporting, including remediation and closure of identified issues.
