We deliver high-level bookkeeping, financial reporting, cash flow management, and CFO strategy.

We are expanding our team and seeking a detail-obsessed, analytical, and proactive Financial Analyst & Month-End Close Specialist.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for owning the month-end close process for multiple clients, analyzing financial statements, preparing reports, and supporting the CFO team with insights and recommendations.

This is NOT a basic bookkeeping role—this is a true financial analyst position where your work directly impacts strategy and decision-making for growing businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close

• Perform complete month-end close for multiple clients
• Bank, credit card, loan & merchant reconciliations
• Accruals, prepaids, amortizations, depreciation entries
• Balance sheet tie-outs with supporting schedules
• Review and clean the general ledger
• Prepare adjusting and recurring journal entries
• Ensure accounting is properly categorized by confirming with client
• Ensure accurate and timely financials (Due by the 15th of each month)

Financial Analysis

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Conduct variance analysis (budget vs actual, MoM, YoY)
• Identify unusual trends, inaccuracies, or opportunities
• Build cash flow analysis and projections
• Create KPI dashboards and summary reports
• Support CFO-level recommendations with data-driven insights

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare client-ready monthly financial packages
• Present clear explanations of financial results
• Communicate status updates, missing data, and issues proactively
• Collaborate with the CEO and operations team to improve workflows

Must-Have Skills

• Strong Accounting & Month-End Close Expertise (You must understand closing the books—not just data entry.)
• Excellent Financial Analysis Skills – Ability to interpret numbers, identify trends, and create insights.
• Extreme Attention to Detail – Zero tolerance for unreconciled accounts or sloppy work.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• QuickBooks Online power user
• Experience in CFO advisory or working with U.S. accounting firms
• Understanding of tax strategy basics
• Familiarity with client management tools (TaxDome)

Requirements
