Job summary

Sun Life Philippines seeks an FP&A professional to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. You will analyze variances, prepare models and dashboards, and provide actionable financial insights to management. Collaboration across Finance, Pricing, and Operations will be key to delivering accurate reports and recommendations.

Strong Excel and BI tool experience is preferred. The role targets individuals with 2-5 years in FP&A or related finance functions within financial services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-5 years of FP&A/Financial Reporting/Finance Operations experience.
• Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Wealth Management preferred.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting capabilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Experience with SAP, AFO, Tableau, Power BI, Access or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly forecasting, annual planning, budgeting, and financial reporting activities.

• Support billing, fee analysis, invoicing, accruals and expense recovery calculations.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Pricing, Fund Operations, Reporting & Analytics for requirements.
• Support surveys, benchmarking, RFPs, and ad hoc analysis as required.
• Maintain and improve reporting processes, controls, and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, Finance Operations, Accounting, or related Finance functions.
• Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Wealth Management, or a similar industry is preferred.

Technical Competencies

• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting capabilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with SAP, AFO, Tableau, Power BI, Access, or similar financial reporting tools is preferred.
• Ability to analyze large volumes of financial data and translate findings into actionable business insights.
• Knowledge of billing, fee analysis, invoicing, accruals, and financial operations processes is an asset.
