Job summary

Cloud Bridge is seeking an experienced finance leader to take full ownership of the finance function for our Philippines entity in Makati. You will run monthly close, tax compliance, and financial controls, while providing analysis to local management and the UK group.

This hands‑on senior role requires ownership of end‑to‑end finance, cross‑border considerations, and the ability to drive improvements as the business scales.

• Manage local tax compliance, VAT, payroll taxes, government submissions and annual accounts with external advisers.
• Review contracts for financial risk and coordinate with legal on material negotiations where needed.
• Oversee intercompany balances, transfer pricing support and group consolidation with the UK team.
• Act as the primary finance contact for directors, auditors, tax advisers and banks.

The role

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to take full ownership of the finance function for our Philippines entity. You will run the monthly accounts, cash and working capital, tax compliance, statutory obligations and financial controls independently, while providing timely analysis and practical advice to local management and the UK group. This is a hands‑on senior role for someone who has already been accountable for an entire business finance function, rather than one part of a larger team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Philippines monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, management accounts, forecasts, budgets and reporting to group deadlines. Explain performance, margins, variances and risks to senior leaders.

• Lead billing, accounts receivable and payable, collections, payments, banking, cash forecasts, payroll finance inputs, expense controls and the integrity of the accounting records. Establish clear review and approval processes.

• Own the local tax and statutory compliance calendar, including applicable corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, payroll‑related obligations, government submissions and annual accounts. Coordinate filings and audits with external advisers and maintain a complete evidence trail.

• Manage customer withholding certificates and tax documentation, review the tax and invoicing implications of cross‑border services and supplier payments, and flag issues early for specialist advice.

• Oversee intercompany balances, recharge calculations, transfer pricing support and group consolidation schedules. Reconcile local books to group reporting and work with the UK team to resolve differences promptly.

• Review customer and supplier contracts, statements of work and work orders from a finance and commercial risk perspective, including entity details, pricing, taxes, payment terms, billing triggers, credits, liability exposure and approval requirements. Coordinate with group leadership and qualified legal counsel on legal interpretation and material negotiations.

• Act as the primary finance contact for local directors, auditors, tax advisers, banks and regulators. Maintain corporate finance records and support company secretarial and contractual administration where relevant.

• Improve systems, controls and reporting as the business scales. Build and supervise local finance support if justified by volume, while remaining personally accountable for delivery.

• In time, support finance oversight and common controls across other APAC entities, subject to business needs and local specialist advice.

Experience and qualifications

• Proven senior finance experience independently running the full finance function of a Philippines business, with ownership of close, tax, audit, cash and management reporting.

• A recognised accountancy qualification, preferably Philippine CPA, with strong working knowledge of Philippines accounting standards, tax compliance and statutory requirements.

• Experience in a multinational or international services business, including cross‑border invoicing, intercompany transactions and reporting to an overseas parent.

• Commercial judgment and confidence to review contracts for financial and operational risk, identify matters for legal escalation and explain recommendations clearly.

• Strong Excel and cloud accounting systems capability. Experience with Xero, professional services, AWS or other cloud technology businesses is advantageous.

• Ability to prioritise, make sound decisions with limited supervision, challenge incomplete information and meet deadlines across time zones.

What success looks like

The Philippines entity closes accurately and on time; tax and statutory obligations are met; cash and receivables are visible and actively managed; contract and pricing risks are identified before signature; and group leadership receives reliable forecasts and clear, actionable commentary.

Scope and authority

You will own day-to-day finance delivery and recommend improvements. Material commitments, contract departures, tax positions and legal conclusions must follow group approval policies and be escalated to the relevant decision‑maker or specialist adviser.
