Job summary

Thunes is seeking a Finance Operations Assistant based in the Philippines to support global finance and accounting tasks.

You will handle routine accounting activities, administer finance mailboxes, manage filing, and help identify process improvements while collaborating with the team to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in (or a recent graduate of) a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high organizational capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist routine accounting tasks: data entry, invoicing, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Admin finance mailboxes and route urgent requests to the correct teams.
• Filing and document management.
• Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and suggest improvements.
• Support additional admin duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, this role will be based in the Philippines. This role supports global finance and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine accounting tasks such as data entry, processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and preparing bank reconciliations
• Administration of finance mailboxes, routing of specific emails to the correct finance team members and identifying/flagging urgent requests
• Filing/Document Management
• Help identify inefficiencies in current financial processes and collaborate with the team to develop actionable, streamlined solutions
• Assist in other administrative duties and adhoc tasks as assigned

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in (or a recent graduate of) a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance or Accounting
