Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced FP&A leader to manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering across the organization. You will oversee capital and project finance, drive risk mitigation, and mentor the FP&A team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 10+ years in corporate finance, and strong leadership. Knowledge of DOE, ERC, IEMOP, and BOI regulations is a plus; CPA/MBA/CFA are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 10+ years corporate finance FP&A, budgeting, reporting.
• 5+ years managerial/leadership experience.
• Expert FP&A, reporting, data analysis, and strategic translation.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, tax, and regulations (DOE, ERC, IEMOP, BOI).
• Project financing, loan covenant, and financial ratio knowledge.
• Executive-level communication, presentation, and team leadership capabilities.
• Power generation industry and commercial operations knowledge.
• CPA certification desired; MBA/CFA/CMA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee forecasts, opex/capex budgets, and business plans; prepare and present for Management/Executive Committee approval
• Lead consolidated budgeting and investment proposal process; produce full Income Statement/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow forecasts
• Establish internal controls and budget guidelines; validate spending against budgets
• Develop performance analysis versus targets and prior year by region, entity, and fuel type
• Collaborate with Operations & Maintenance, Financial Management Team, Commercial Business Unit, and Regional Finance to validate assumptions
• Present financial objectives, policy recommendations, and strategic insights to leadership
• Monitor cash positions; ensure funding availability; recommend short-term financing as needed
• Manage capital investment review and approval processes
• Oversee Project Control: track costs, flag risks, enforce controls, align finance and project teams
• Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team; drive best practices
