ASTRO ROBOTICS Service Inc., in partnership with Telexistence Inc., is seeking a Field Technician to join our Metro Manila team. You’ll diagnose and repair humanoid robots on-site, perform maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability at customer sites.

Diagnose root causes of malfunctions and perform component replacement, adjustment, and functional testing on humanoid robots.
Drive efficiency and standardization of repair and maintenance procedures.
Identify recurring failure patterns and contribute to root cause analysis and prevention.
Provide feedback to the development team in Japan to improve product quality and maintainability.
Accurately and promptly log all inspection, repair, and parts replacement activities.

About the Role

ASTRO ROBOTICS Service Inc., in partnership with Telexistence Inc. — a Japanese robotics company developing autonomous robot systems for retail — is looking for a Field Technician to join our growing team in Metro Manila.

In this role, you'll be hands‑on with robot repair and maintenance on‑site, while also serving as a key feedback loop — documenting failure patterns and reporting findings to our Field Service (FS) team in Japan to drive product improvements and process standardization.

This isn't just a fix‑and‑move‑on role. We want someone who brings curiosity to the floor, captures what they learn, and helps us build a more reliable, scalable operation.

What You’ll Do

Core: Robot Repair & Maintenance

Diagnose root causes of malfunctions and perform component replacement, adjustment, and functional testing on humanoid robots
Drive efficiency and standardization of repair and maintenance procedures
Identify recurring failure patterns and contribute to root cause analysis and prevention
Provide feedback to the development team in Japan to improve product quality and maintainability
Keep your work area and tools clean, organized, and ready

Supporting Responsibilities

Accurately and promptly log all inspection, repair, and parts replacement activities
Report repair details and findings to the Japan-based Field Service team
Share knowledge and support teammates
Collaborate with and support the operations team
Take on additional tasks as directed by the company

Requirements

Must-Have

Graduate of a vocational school, technical institute, or equivalent (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field)
Conversational English (for communication with internal and external stakeholders)

Shift flexibility, including possible night shifts (shift schedule TBD)
Valid driver's license
1+ year of repair/maintenance experience in electrical, mechanical, automotive, or industrial equipment

Nice to Have

Experience maintaining automotive, industrial robots, or factory automation (FA) equipment
Hands‑on experience replacing or adjusting electric motors and gearboxes
Enjoys hands‑on assembly and repair work with tools
Experience using PCs and configuration software
Troubleshooting experience in field environments
Motivated to work with autonomy in a startup environment
