Job summary

The role requires reading technical drawings, using precision tools, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient, accurate assembly and documentation of parts.

Qualifications

• GCE 'N' Level or Technical Certificate
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing or process-driven environment
• Experience in Fiber Loop Assembly (FLA) manufacturing and assembly processes
• Experience in fiber bonding, sealing, and curing processes using approved materials and procedures
• Skilled in optical fiber routing, looping, and cable management according to engineering drawings
• Proficient in fiber stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and handling of delicate optical fibers
• Competent in fiber collimation and optical alignment to meet product performance requirements
• Able to perform fiber polishing and end-face inspection using microscopes and inspection equipment
• Attention to detail
• Competent in recording data in spreadsheets or in a process control system

Responsibilities

• Mechanical, Electrical, Optical assembly and test
• Use of vacuum systems
• Bulk and intricate cleaning of parts and assemblies
• Packing
• Completion of relevant electronic records
• Work with the leadership team to improve processing times as required
• Carry out training of fellow employees according to Company training, work instructions and the grading structure
• Work within Company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, material control, and maintain high levels of workmanship and cleanliness
• Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending and implementing preventative and corrective measures, working with engineering to introduce new products
• Maintain a highly adaptable approach and transition between departments to fulfill evolving business needs
