Job summary

Gingersnaps Philippines is seeking a Category Analyst to support the planning and execution of sales targets, analyze sales data, coordinate demand planning for new collections, manage inventory, and conduct competitor checks. You will collaborate with Sales, Creative, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Production, Quality Control, and Distribution to ensure alignment and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, Accountancy, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools).
• A deep understanding of Retail Apparel and Fashion industry, including market trends and competitive dynamics.
• Attention to detail is critical for accurately analyzing data and making informed decisions.
• Ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions to improve category performance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Target setting: Assist in setting monthly sales targets based on historical trends and store performance.
• Sales data analysis: Monitor sell-through and generate monthly sales reports for assigned categories.
• Demand planning for new collections: Propose budgets and plan demand by analyzing class types, sizes, fabrics, colors, and styles.
• Inventory management: Analyze monthly inventory and three-month average sales to identify Months to Sell and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Competitors check: Conduct regular competitor checks through online research and store visits.
