Job summary
LEYI CONSTRUCTION CORP. is seeking an experienced excavator operator to safely drive and control heavy machinery on our construction sites in Metro Manila.
You will dig, load, grade, and move earth, rocks, or debris following project plans and supervisor instructions. Applicants should have at least 3 years of relevant construction experience, hold an NC2 certificate, and present a Previous Employment Certificate.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in construction.
- Ability to operate excavators safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently according to site requirements and supervisor instructions
- Perform excavation for foundations, trenches, drainage systems, utilities, and other work
- Carry out backfilling, grading, leveling
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections, including engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, fuel, tracks, hoses, attachments, and safety devices
- Report equipment defects and damage
- Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance
- Follow approved excavation plans, drawings, specified elevations, slopes, and dimensions
- Coordinate with banksmen/spotters, surveyors, engineers, truck drivers, and other site personnel
- Load excavated soil, debris, and construction materials safely into dump trucks or designated areas
- Immediately report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and damages
