Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries, design schemas, and optimise performance.
• Strong programming experience in Python for data analysis, manipulation, and automation.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with data visualisation tools and BI platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems and collaborative development practices.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality standards, and best practices in database administration.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL queries and database solutions to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources
• Design and implement ETL pipelines to automate data collection, cleaning, and integration processes
• Create and optimise Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
• Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets
• Build and maintain data models that support business requirements and analytical needs
• Generate reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate data findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Monitor and optimise database performance and data pipeline efficiency
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions to resolve discrepancies
• Document data processes, methodologies, and technical specifications for future reference
