An English and Chinese Translator is responsible for accurately translating written materials between English and Chinese while maintaining the original meaning, tone, and cultural context. Typical responsibilities include:

• Translate documents, reports, contracts, manuals, emails, and other materials between English and Chinese (Simplified or Traditional, as required).
• Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent with the source material.
• Proofread, edit, and review translated content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and terminology.
• Research industry-specific terminology to ensure precise and professional translations.
• Interpret the meaning and intent of the original text while adapting language for the target audience.
• Maintain consistency by using translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to clarify translation requirements.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Assist with localization of content to suit regional language and cultural preferences.
• Revise translations based on client feedback and quality assurance reviews.
