Key responsibilities
Conduct engaging and effective English lessons
Develop/update curriculum
Guide students in areas such as grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and oral communication
Identify individual students' strengths and areas for improvement
Provide encouragement and appropriate support to help students progress
Monitor students' learning and academic development
Provide constructive and regular feedback to parents on their child's progress
Mark students' work carefully and provide meaningful feedback
Prepare adequately for lessons and familiarise themselves with the teaching materials provided
Create a positive classroom environment where students feel confident participating and asking questions
Work closely and collaboratively with fellow teachers and the centre's academic team
About you
Possess NIE training, a PGDE, and/or a Degree in English or a relevant field
Be able to commit for at least one year
Have a genuine passion for teaching English and helping every child excel
Be enthusiastic, engaging and able to bring energy into the classroom
Be patient and able to adapt teaching methods to suit students of different abilities
Be a responsible and supportive team player
Have strong spoken and written English
Be reliable, professional and committed to maintaining high teaching standards
Able to work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend
