Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering teams by applying basic engineering principles and using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to prepare and maintain technical drawings and documentation.

Under supervision, you will help evaluate design methods, assist with measurements and quantity estimates, and coordinate deliverables with other groups to minimize errors while upholding BV's quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the creation, modification and maintenance of technical drawings and documentation using CAD, BIM and 3D modeling tools.
• Supports design activities and continuous improvement efforts, including basic computations and coordination of deliverables with other groups.
