Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking an Engineering Officer in the Philippines to supervise maintenance and safe operation of our facility's physical and engineering infrastructure. The role reports to the Operations Lead, with emphasis on compliance, uptime, and contractor management.

The ideal candidate is a licensed ME or EE with 3+ years of facilities experience, hands-on in MEPF systems, and a proactive owner with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with 3+ years of relevant experience in facilities management.
• Hands-on operation, maintenance, troubleshooting of MEPF systems.
• Experience with HVAC, chillers, boilers, generators, and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Strong ownership, leadership presence, and issue-resolution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, GenSets).
• Supervise vendors and technicians for repairs, installation, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and local regulations.
• Conduct inspections and audits to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Assist budgeting for repairs, spare parts, and operations.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An Engineering Officer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of a facility's physical structure, mechanical systems, and engineering infrastructure. Reporting to the Operations Lead or Property Manager, this role ensures compliance with safety codes, manages technical staff or contractors, and optimizes equipment performance to maintain seamless day-to-day operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered/Licensed Mechanical Engineer (RME) or Registered/Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE)
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
• No age restriction
• Around 2-3 years relevant experience
• Experience in property or facilities management is highly preferred.
• Candidates should have solid hands-on experience in the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of building facilities and MEPF systems, particularly:
  • >Chillers& HVAC Systems
  • >Cooling Towers& Generator Sets (GenSets)
  • >Boilers & Building Electrical and Mechanical Systems
• Exposure to the following property types is highly preferred:

• In addition to technical competence, we are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership, leadership presence, and the ability to effectively manage operational concerns and ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues.

EMPLOYMENT ARRANGEMENT:

2-year fixed-term employment, with potential for regularization based on performance and business requirements. Reports directly to the Operations Lead under the Commercial Properties Group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facility Maintenance & Operations: Oversee daily preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and generator sets.
• Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise third-party contractors, technicians, and service providers for specialized repairs, installation, and routine maintenance.
• Compliance & Safety Standards: Ensure building operations adhere to local engineering, environmental, and occupational safety codes (e.g., OSH, fire safety regulations).
• System Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular inspections of property machinery and equipment to identify issues, reduce downtime, and prolong equipment life cycles.
• Budgeting & Resource Management: Assist in estimating costs for technical repairs, spare parts procurement, and operational budget planning.
• Emergency Response: Act as a key responder for utility failures, structural emergencies, or system disruptions to minimize operational downtime.
