Job summary

Barghest Building Performance Pte Ltd in the Philippines seeks an HVAC-focused engineer trainee to join our energy optimization team. The role centers on evaluating system efficiency and documenting optimization designs for chiller-based plants.

You will prepare Operating System Efficiency reports, identify energy-conserving measures for chilled water systems, and design instrumentation for M&V systems including sensors and meters.

Responsibilities

• Operating system efficiency (OSE) report preparation.
• Documentation of the chiller system optimization design.
• Identify, design, and propose energy conservative measures (ECM) for the chilled water system.
• Instrumentation selection and design for M&V systems (temperature sensors, flow meters, pressure sensors, weather stations, power meters).
• Develop energy optimization strategies for centrifugal water pumps.
• Develop energy optimization strategies for chillers.
• Develop energy optimization strategies for cooling towers.
• Conduct heat balance substantiating tests.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operating system efficiency (OSE) report preparation.
• Documentation of the chiller system optimization design.
• Identify, design, and propose energy conservative measures (ECM) on the chilled water system which include:
• Instrumentations selection and design on the measurements and verifications (M&V) system (temperature sensors, flow meters, pressure sensors, weather stations, power meters)
• Centrifugal water pumps energy optimizations strategy
• Chillers energy optimizations strategy
• Cooling tower energy optimizations strategy
• Heat balance substantiating test

Learning Outcomes and Objectives:

• Gain in-depth knowledge on HVAC (chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units).
• Gain understanding on how to prepare Operating System Efficiency (OSE) reports.
