ABSI in the Philippines is hiring an Elevator and Escalator Technician to handle installation, maintenance, and repair tasks ensuring safe and reliable operation of elevators and escalators at customer sites.
The role covers installing new units, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and calibrating control systems while complying with safety procedures, and participating in on-call rotations as needed.

Install elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, moving walks, and related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled maintenance plans.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
Repair or replace defective components such as motors, controllers, brakes, doors, cables, bearings, sensors, and switches.
Conduct safety inspections and functional testing after repairs or installations.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls, equipment breakdowns, and passenger entrapments.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and blueprints.
Adjust and calibrate control systems for optimal performance.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
Complete service reports, maintenance logs, inspection checklists, and work orders accurately.
Communicate equipment status and repair recommendations to supervisors and clients.
Maintain tools, testing instruments, and company vehicles in good working condition.
Follow all occupational health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with modernization and upgrade projects for existing elevator and escalator systems.
Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency service rotations as required.
High school diploma or Technical/Vocational certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
Certification or license as required by local regulations.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, or repair (preferred).
Experience with major elevator brands is an advantage.
