Requirements

- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
- Valid electrician license or certification (as required by jurisdiction)
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards or defects
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
- Test electrical systems for continuity, voltage, and resistance
- Provide cost and time estimates for electrical projects
- Collaborate with contractors and other construction professionals
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Document work performed and maintain service records
