JOB SUMMARY:
The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and components of trucks and other heavy vehicles. This includes working on wiring, lighting, ignition, alternators, batteries, and other electrical parts to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical wiring, components, and systems in trucks and heavy vehicles.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot alternators, starter motors, batteries, and lighting systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues accurately.
- Ensure all repairs and installations comply with safety and quality standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
- Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to ensure complete vehicle servicing.
- Maintain records of repairs and parts used.
- Stay updated on new vehicle electrical systems and technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least Vocational or Technical course graduate in Automotive Servicing, Electrical Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as Auto Electrician (experience in trucks or heavy equipment is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and safety-conscious.
