Job summary

FTPontillo Builders and Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and control systems in various facilities.

The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and ensuring compliance with safety codes and company standards. You will coordinate with supervisors and respond to repairs promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various facilities.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and diagrams.
• Proficient in testing with multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain records and coordinate with other trades.

Job Requirements

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems in residential, commercial, or industrial facilities.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, lighting systems, and other electrical components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, malfunctions, and equipment failures.
• Replace defective electrical parts and restore systems to proper working condition.
• Conduct electrical testing using appropriate tools and instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with applicable electrical codes, company standards, and safety regulations.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or code violations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and materials used.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical repairs and service requests.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Recommend improvements to electrical systems to enhance safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Follow all company policies, occupational safety and health standards, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management related to electrical maintenance and installation.
