Job summary

Planate Management Group South East Asia Corp (PMG SEAC) seeks a Licensed Electrical Engineer to lead planning, design reviews, supervision, inspection, and commissioning of aerodrome electrical systems. You will ensure compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards while maintaining quality and schedule.

The role requires 7+ years in airport or major infrastructure projects, with experience in airfield lighting, substations, and power distribution.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer with PRC license.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Experience in airport/aerodrome/aviation or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience with airfield ground lighting (AGL) and related systems.
• Training or certification in project management, electrical safety, commissioning, or quality management systems.
• Experience with airport authorities, government agencies, consultants, and international contractors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, review, supervise, inspect, test, and commission electrical systems for aerodrome projects.
• Inspect airfield lighting systems, power distribution, substations, generators, and related infrastructure.
• Review electrical shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and docs.
• Monitor testing and commissioning to ensure safety, performance, and reliability.
• Coordinate with contractors, authorities, and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Prepare inspection reports, test results, progress reports, and corrective action recommendations.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.

Job description

The Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for the planning, design review, supervision, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for aerodrome projects. The role ensures that all electrical works are executed in accordance with approved plans, project specifications, aviation requirements, and applicable electrical and safety standards while maintaining project quality, schedule, and operational reliability.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and inspect electrical works, including airfield lighting systems, power distribution networks, substations, generators, and other aerodrome electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and QA/QC requirements.
• Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities to verify the performance, safety, and reliability of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, airport authorities, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Prepare and review inspection reports, test results, progress reports, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC License.
• At least seven (7) years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, reckoned from the date of professional registration.
• Experience in airport, aerodrome, aviation, or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience with airfield ground lighting (AGL), navigational aids support systems, substations, standby power systems, and electrical distribution networks.
• Training or certification in project management, electrical safety, commissioning, or quality management systems.
• Experience working with airport authorities, government agencies, consultants, and international contractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, airfield lighting systems, and electrical safety standards.
• Proficient in reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with applicable local and international electrical and aviation standards.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, communication, and report-writing skills.
