Collaborate with project managers and clients to estimate costs, review requirements, and document results. The role involves writing reports, refining manufacturing processes, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical devices, products, systems, and components, applying principles of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Analyze project requirements, system capacities, and costs to develop system plans and conduct detailed calculations to establish standards
• Inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability and safety of electrical products and systems to ensure they meet specifications and codes
• Develop and refine manufacturing processes, and oversee the production of electrical equipment
• Ensure all designs and systems comply with industry standards and regulations, and conduct risk assessments
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems and equipment, and recommend repairs or design modifications
• Estimate material, labor, and construction costs
• Write reports, compile data, and create documentation
• Collaborate with other engineers, clients, contractors, and project managers
