Job summary

Avenir Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver welcoming guest experiences and precise beverage preparation in a fast-paced dining setting in Iloilo/San Carlos, Philippines.

You will greet guests, mix drinks, check IDs, manage cash, and ensure the bar is stocked and compliant with safety and service standards. Strong English and customer service mindset are essential; training offered for right candidates.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience at a fast paced dining establishment is preferred, however we will train the right candidate.
• Working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and tending bar, with the ablility to learn and follow recipes.
• A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for food, wine, Spirits and customer service
• Must have a commitment to deliver a unique and memorable guest experience
• Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• The ability to multi-task and work well in a high volume environment
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Fluent in English and proficiency in other languages is a plus
• Must have valid food handler card

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from the servers or directly from guests.
• Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered.
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory
• Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.
