The Driver Recruitment Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified drivers to meet the company’s operational needs. This role ensures all driver applicants meet company standards, legal requirements, and safety compliance. The specialist will work closely with Operations, Fleet, and HR teams to ensure a smooth hiring process and maintain a strong pipeline of applicants.
- Source, attract, and recruit qualified drivers through various channels (online job portals, social media, referrals, field recruitment, etc.).
- Conduct initial screening, interviews, and document verification (licenses, IDs, permits, clearances).
- Ensure compliance with government requirements such as LTO, LTFRB, TIN, NBI, police clearance, and medical exams.
- Coordinate and schedule road tests, training sessions, and orientation for new drivers.
- Maintain recruitment reports, applicant databases, and hiring metrics.
- Collaborate with Operations and Fleet teams on manpower needs and deployment schedules.
- Conduct background checks and evaluate driving history and experience.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding process, including contract preparation, final briefing, and deployment.
- Build and maintain a strong driver pipeline to support volume-hiring requirements.
- Attend job fairs, field activities, and community events to promote the company and expand sourcing channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience in recruitment; previous experience in driver or blue‑collar hiring is an advantage.
- Knowledge of driver roles such as TNVS, truck drivers, delivery riders, fleet drivers, etc.
- Familiarity with government requirements and safety regulations for drivers.
- Strong interviewing, communication, and assessment skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet hiring targets.
- Proficient in MS Office and recruitment platforms.
- Willing to travel or conduct field recruitment when needed.
