Job summary

Tech101 Technologies Inc. is seeking a responsible driver to operate vehicles and motorcycles safely in the Metro Manila area. You will manage bookings, navigate with approved GPS apps, and ensure timely, courteous service to passengers and clients.

The role requires a valid professional driver’s license, previous driving experience, and familiarity with local routes. You will maintain records, follow schedules, and uphold safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Professional Driver’s License appropriate to the vehicle operated.
• Previous experience as a driver or delivery driver is preferred.
• Experience using hailing apps or GPS navigation apps is an asset.
• Familiarity with Metro Manila or assigned service areas is advantageous.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safe and Responsible Driving

• Operate the assigned vehicle or motorcycle safely and responsibly.

• Follow traffic laws, road regulations, and company/client driving policies.

• Observe speed limits and practice defensive driving.

• Prioritize the safety of passengers, pedestrians, other motorists, and company/client property.

• Avoid distracted driving and unauthorized use of the vehicle.

• Immediately report accidents, traffic incidents, vehicle damage, or other safety concerns.

2. Hailing App Operations

• Use authorized hailing applications to receive and manage bookings when required.

• Accept and complete assigned trips professionally and efficiently.

• Navigate using approved GPS/navigation applications.

• Maintain proper communication with passengers or clients regarding pickup and drop-off locations.

• Ensure accurate trip completion and proper documentation of required transactions.

• Follow company/client procedures regarding fares, receipts, trip records, and other required documentation.

3. Transportation and Delivery

• Transport passengers, employees, documents, merchandise, equipment, or other authorized items.

• Ensure that transported items are properly handled and secured.

• Follow assigned schedules, routes, destinations, and instructions.

• Complete deliveries and assignments within the required timeframe.

• Obtain acknowledgment or proof of delivery when required.

4. Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

• Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle.

• Check fuel, tires, brakes, lights, oil, battery, and other basic vehicle conditions.

• Keep the vehicle clean, orderly, and presentable.

• Report mechanical problems or maintenance requirements immediately.

• Ensure that the vehicle is properly parked and secured after use.

• Maintain required vehicle-related records and documents.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate trip, mileage, fuel, delivery, and other required records.

• Submit daily or periodic reports as required by the company/client.

• Report delays, cancellations, route problems, accidents, vehicle issues, or unusual incidents immediately.

• Ensure that all required documents are complete and properly submitted.

6. Customer Service and Professionalism

• Maintain a courteous, respectful, and professional attitude toward passengers, clients, employees, and the public.

• Assist passengers with reasonable requests when appropriate.

• Maintain professional appearance and proper workplace conduct.

• Protect the confidentiality of information encountered during transportation or work assignments.

• Represent the company/client professionally while on duty.

7. Compliance and Accountability

• Follow company policies, client requirements, safety rules, and operational procedures.

• Do not use the assigned vehicle for unauthorized personal activities.

• Do not allow unauthorized persons to use or operate the assigned vehicle.

• Immediately report loss, damage, accidents, violations, or incidents involving the assigned vehicle or company/client property.

• Perform other related duties that may reasonably be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least High School graduate or equivalent.

• Must possess a valid Professional Driver's License appropriate to the vehicle being operated.

• Previous experience as a driver, delivery driver, company driver, ride-hailing driver, or similar role is preferred.

• Experience using hailing applications/GPS navigation applications is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Metro Manila and/or assigned service areas is an advantage.

• Must have good knowledge of traffic rules and safe driving practices.

• Must be willing to work on different schedules, including weekends or holidays when required by the client/operation.

• Must be willing to travel or report to different locations as required.

For Motorcycle Drivers

• Must have a valid license appropriate for motorcycle operation.

• Must be experienced in safe motorcycle operation and delivery/transport assignments.

For Four-Wheel Drivers

• Must have a valid license appropriate for the assigned four-wheel vehicle.

• Experience driving company, delivery, or passenger vehicles is preferred.
