Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a skilled Civil Drafter to support the design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects. You will contribute to multidisciplinary road schemes from tender through detail design and collaborate with engineering teams to produce practical, coordinated drawings.

With a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary work and engage stakeholders to ensure high-quality, constructible documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant drafting experience.
• Experience in major roads projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated design team.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and delivering accurate documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO19650.
• Essential: ProjectWise; MicroStation.
• Desirable: AutoCAD, Autodesk Forma & Revit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering plans, profiles, cross-sections and construction documentation.
• Maintain drawing standards, levels, references, naming conventions and project documentation.
• Work with engineers and project managers to deliver coordinated, construction-ready civil drawings.
• Support project delivery with quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Assist in implementing CAD/BIM and digital engineering standards.

What you'll do

We are seeking a motivated Civil Drafter to support the design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects.

This role will contribute to the development of multidisciplinary road projects, from tender all the way to detail design.

You will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams, supporting development of infrastructure options that respond to client, community and network needs.

• Prepare detailed civil engineering plans, profiles, cross-sections and construction documentation.


• Maintain drawing standards, levels, references, naming conventions and project documentation.


• Work closely with engineers, project managers to deliver practical, coordinated and construction-ready civil drawings.


• Support project delivery in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements.


• Support the implementation of CAD/BIM and digital engineering standards.

What you'll bring

• Experience working on Australian states or local government transport projects.


• Familiarity with Australian state drafting standards.


• An understanding of ISO19650


• Essential - ProjectWise (negotiable, must understand document management systems), MicroStation (non-negotiable)


• Desirable - AutoCAD, Autodesk Forma & Revit
